SHOP SLOW SISTER AIMS TO bring value back to lost objects of the past for an unforgettable future. Many of our handmade pieces are created from dead-stock silks, cottons, or linens that found their way to us from friends and studios discarding and downsizing on their inventories over the years. Instead of letting these lush materials rot in a landfill - which the EPA says we have burned approximately 11.2 million tons of fabric waste in 2017 alone - we had a better idea: to use these materials for the purpose they were created, TO BE ADORED. SO WITH EACH PIECE WE’RE thinking up unique garments and home goods as a HOPEFUL act in the right direction for our environmentAL FOOTPRINT IN THE GARMENT INDUSTRY. When sourcing our vintage collections they are hand selected for their quality, craftsmanship, and timelessness then we carefully restore, rework, and clean them to truly give the pieces new life.

We believe in the regenerative, slow fashion shopping experience. This means many pieces are designed to be completely one-of-kind. due to fabric stock, unique trimmings, and of course rare qualities from their hand-sewn creation NOTHING WILL BE EXACTLY ALIKE.
